MCI Express is a South Florida-based transportation and logistics company providing nationwide expedited and time-sensitive freight services across the contiguous 48 states. We operate as an asset-based carrier and licensed freight broker. Our principal place of business is located at 11320 NW 112 CT, Medley, Florida 33178.

a. Personal Identifiers


  • Name, mailing address, email address, and phone number
  • Commercial driver’s license (CDL) number and driver’s license information
  • Social Security number (collected post-conditional-offer of employment for tax withholding, I-9 employment eligibility verification, and background screening purposes only)

b. Employment Application Data


  • Resumes, cover letters, employment history, and reference contacts submitted through our Careers or Drive With Us pages
  • Professional certifications, endorsements, and motor vehicle records
  • Results of background checks, drug tests, and driving record inquiries obtained through FCRA-compliant consumer reporting agencies


c. Account and Profile Information


  • Username, password, and saved preferences (if you register on the site)
  • Login history and session data


d. Device and Internet Activity


  • Browser type and version, operating system, and device identifiers
  • Pages viewed, session duration, referring and exit URLs, and clickstream behavior


e. Geolocation Data


  • IP-based location estimates
  • GPS or EXIF data embedded in images you upload (see Section 8)


f. Transaction and Communication Data

However, we do share certain behavioral and advertising data with third-party platforms such as Meta and Google for cross-context advertising purposes, as described in Sections 4 and 6. You may opt out of this sharing as described in Section 4.

  • Our affiliates and related entities (including MAK Logistics LLC)
  • Government agencies, including the DOT, FMCSA, IRS, and state motor carrier authorities, when required by law or regulation

  • Insurance providers, claims administrators, and adjusters
  • Legal counsel, auditors, and financial advisors

All third-party service providers are required to handle personal information in accordance with applicable privacy laws and are prohibited from using your information for their own purposes beyond the scope of services provided to us.



7. Comments and User Submissions


When visitors submit comments on our website, we collect the information provided in the comment form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string, to assist with spam detection and site security. This information is retained as described in Section 11.



8. Media Uploads and EXIF Data


When users upload images to our website, we may receive metadata embedded in those files, including GPS coordinates, device identifiers, and timestamps (commonly referred to as EXIF data). We do not use EXIF metadata for marketing or tracking purposes. We recommend removing location metadata from images prior to upload. We will delete embedded location data upon request.



9. Embedded Content from Third-Party Sites


Pages on our website may include embedded content from third-party services, such as videos, maps, or social media feeds. Embedded content from other websites functions as though the visitor has accessed that third-party website directly. Those sites may independently collect data about you, use cookies, or track your interactions, subject to their own privacy policies.



10. User Accounts


If you register for an account on our website, your personal information is stored in your user profile. You may view, update, or request deletion of your account data at any time by contacting us at info@mciexpress.com. Note that your username cannot be changed after account creation. Site administrators may access and manage user profiles for operational and security purposes.



11. Data Retention


We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, subject to the following:


  • Employment records are retained in accordance with applicable federal and Florida employment law requirements (generally a minimum of three years post-termination for I-9 records and seven years for payroll records)
  • Driver qualification files are retained in accordance with FMCSA regulations (49 C.F.R. Part 391)
  • Customer and transaction records are retained for a minimum of seven years for tax and audit purposes
  • Website inquiry and contact form submissions are retained for three years unless a longer period is required by applicable law
  • Comment submissions are retained for as long as the associated content remains active on the site, after which they are deleted or anonymized
  • Call recordings are retained for ninety (90) days for training and quality assurance purposes unless otherwise required for a legal or compliance matter


Data no longer required for its original purpose or legal retention obligations will be securely deleted or anonymized.



12. Data Security


We implement reasonable and appropriate technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction, including:


  • SSL/TLS encryption for data in transit
  • Firewalls, malware detection, and intrusion monitoring
  • Role-based access controls limiting data access to personnel with a legitimate need

Despite these measures, no electronic transmission or storage system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.



13. Data Breach Notification


In the event of a breach of security affecting personal information, MCI Express will comply with applicable notification requirements, including:


  • Florida Information Protection Act (FIPA), Fla. Stat. § 501.171: We will notify affected Florida residents within thirty (30) days of determining that a breach of security has occurred, when the breach involves “sensitive” personal information as defined by FIPA.
  • We will notify the Florida Department of Legal Affairs if the breach affects 500 or more Florida residents.
  • We will notify affected individuals and, where required, federal regulators, in the event of breaches affecting personal information subject to federal law requirements.


Notifications will be provided via email, mail, or, where required, media notice, as determined by applicable law and the circumstances of the breach.



14. Children’s Privacy


Our website is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in accordance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will promptly delete that information. Depending on your state of residence and applicable law, you may have the right to:

  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information

  • File a complaint with your state Attorney General or applicable regulatory authority

Exercising your privacy rights will not result in any penalty or disadvantage in our services or employment decisions.



16. Where We Store and Process Your Data


Personal information collected through our website and operations is stored and processed in secure facilities located in the United States. If you access our website from outside the United States, you understand and agree that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, subject to applicable U.S. laws. We do not intentionally transfer personal information to countries outside the United States.



17. SMS Messaging and Mobile Communications


By providing your mobile phone number through our website or other channels, you consent to receive text messages from MCI Express for the purposes described below. Your mobile number will not be shared with any third party for their own marketing or promotional purposes.



This SMS program is governed by the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), 47 U.S.C. § 227, and applicable carrier and industry guidelines. Standard message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies.


Types of Messages


By opting in, you may receive text messages from MCI Express regarding: appointment and pickup/delivery reminders, shipment or service updates, responses to your inquiries, and other operational communications.


Opt-Out


You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any message. Upon receipt of your STOP request, we will send a single confirmation message and will not send further messages unless you re-opt-in.
